Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Students,
I would like to welcome you to Daniel E. Lewis Middle School for the 2022-2023 school year. My name is Henry Wish and I am proud to be your new principal. I am looking forward to this year and will bring my appreciation and respect for children, my administrative experience, Probation Department experience, and knowledge of the Lewis Leopards to provide an excellent educational year to Lewis Middle School.
First of all I am proud to be a Lewis Leopard and proud to be part of the community of Paso Robles. My greatest achievement in life is being the father of my four amazing children. I can make you one promise I will treat your children with respect and caring like they are my own.
I have been in educational administration for the last eleven years. I have been an Assistant Principal, a Dean of Discipline, a PBIS Site Coordinator, and a Testing Director. What I am most proud of in my educational career is the work I have done with campus culture change surrounding social emotional learning and restorative practices. I hope to bring that to Lewis Middle School.
Before I was in education I worked with the Juvenile Probation Department in Kern County. I worked closely with the Kern County Gang Task Force and still maintain a relationship with some of the officers on the task force today. I will use this experience to ensure the fair treatment of every student.
It was very important to me to understand the history of Lewis Middle School, starting with Mr. Lewis himself. In my opinion Mr. Lewis was a renaissance man. The three R’s - Respect, Responsibility and Reliability that Mr. Lewis lived by are the principles that I will continue to model. In addition I will add being Firm, Fair and Consistent with every stakeholder of Lewis Middle School.
I am looking forward to meeting all of you and my door will always be open.
Sincerely,
Henry Wise
