As a school dedicated to providing a safe environment for your child, we prioritize their well-being during sports activities. Our coaching staff is trained in various safety procedures, including CPR, first aid, and heat safety. In addition, we have AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators) on campus; the closest AED for sports is located in the gym.

An additional area of importance, is the prevention and management of concussions. We take all suspected concussions seriously and have a rigorous return-to-play protocol in place. If a concussion is suspected, proper medical evaluation and clearance are required before a student can resume participation in sports.

To ensure your child's safety, it is mandatory for them to be registered in Home Campus and have a current physical on file in order to participate in sports this year. By adhering to these requirements, we aim to promote a safe and healthy athletic experience for all students.

Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child's safety during sports activities. We are committed to providing a safe, secure, and supportive environment for all athletic endeavors.

Lewis Middle School recognizes that competition in athletics demands a commitment of time and energy from student-athletes not required of other students. Subsequently, we provide a variety of support services and resources to assist student-athletes with their academic success, personal well-being, individual development, and preparation for future endeavors. Our programs aim to impart lifelong skills as well as promote the development of good character in all student-athletes who represent Lewis Middle School.

It is our commitment to excellence that makes us proud to be Lewis Leopards!

A reminder, we charge admission for middle school volleyball, basketball, and soccer games to help cover the cost of officials, entry fees, and equipment for all athletic programs:
